Our Story

Hello friends, thanks for visiting The Chic Habitat Studio.

Our humble abode was founded in 2018 by our co-founders, Vanessa and Joanne, back when Vanessa was planning for her own wedding and realized how gifting brings so much happiness to people.

Since then we started the business from our own homes; receiving orders manually from Instagram, packing on the go, personally writing each message on the greeting cards, sending them personally & handling each enquiry with the best of clients’ interest.

As our dreams grew, so did our team, our workspace and the trust our customers placed in us. We moved into a home-based office, celebrated many small and significant milestones, and continued creating gifts that helped people and businesses express appreciation, celebrate important moments and build meaningful connections.

Behind every thoughtfully curated gift is a team that brings it to life. Through busy seasons, exciting milestones and unexpected challenges, our team has stood together with dedication, creativity and heart.

The Chic Habitat would not be where it is today without these wonderful people—each contributing their strengths, supporting one another and sharing the same commitment to creating meaningful gifting experiences for our customers.

Then, in just a few minutes, a fire changed everything.The workspace and business we had worked so hard to build were suddenly gone—but our purpose remained.

With the support of our team, customers, family and friends, we picked ourselves up and started again. We moved into a basic temporary space and continued fulfilling our commitments while rebuilding, one step at a time.

Today, that once-bare space has become a place we are proud to call home—a thoughtfully created office where ideas take shape, gifts are personalised, and every detail is prepared with care.
